The Missed Bit is a daily AI & tech briefing built on one principle: the value isn't in what we include — it's in what we leave out.

How it works

The standard

Hundreds of stories break across AI and tech every day; most are noise. We read them all, keep the few that matter, and write them tight enough to read in minutes — a lead report, a short shortlist, nothing you didn't need.

Where the news comes from

Only the most credible outlets — The Verge, TechCrunch, Reuters, Bloomberg, CNBC — and official announcements from the companies themselves. Never content farms or unattributed rumors, and every item links back to its source so you can check our work.

Coverage comes as two bits, separate on purpose: The AI Bit for artificial intelligence — models, tools, money, and power — and The Tech Bit for everything else you actually use, minus the AI noise. Subscribe to one or both.

How we make money

Free, and it stays free — supported by sponsors, not subscriptions. At most one sponsor per issue, always clearly labeled and written to the same standard as the rest. Pay-to-play coverage never gets in.
